About Us

The ReCreatingHerStory blog was created out of the need to voice the opinion, accomplishments, needs and well voice of the black woman. This blog also seeks to raise consciousness to and about all people of the African American diaspora. "Writing is more than just a hobby, it's my life and I wanna share my experiences with y'all."

ReCreatingHerStory was created by Jessica M. Corbin a senior, English major with an interest in journalism, currently studying at Claflin University. I aspire to be a cultural columnist and black feminist activist poet.
